I wanted to take a moment to Thank You for letting me serve as your State Representative.
When I first introduced myself back in 2012, I had no idea what the next four years would be like. I began back in 2012 being brand new to politics and I wanted to set myself apart by being that fresh face in Santa Fe. I feel that I have done well in that role and I look forward to continuing the work I have started.
As a small business owner, I know what is holding our state back when it comes to creating jobs. I am proud of the work we have done in Santa Fe to reduce taxes on manufacturing and lowering the overall business tax rate by 22%. Because of these and other reforms, companies are now looking at New Mexico as a place to do business and that means jobs for our kids.
I was born and raised in New Mexico and have lived in Valencia County close to 20 years. My husband’s family has made the Valley their home for generations, tracing the Fajardo name back 400 years. As you can tell, this is something we are very proud of and it’s a heritage we are proud to pass onto our children.
As campaign season begins, I will once again be going door to door. I look forward to meeting you.
